Easter Activities

Easter Activities

Celebrating for Easter this year is probably looking pretty different for a lot of families! But with some extra time on our hands (and maybe even some boredom setting in?), Easter is such a good reason to get a little crafty and festive! Let's bring some fun and colour into our homes and decorate with some homemade touches that you probably have the supplies for already!

We've compiled some great at home crafts and activities that are simple enough for the kids to help you - but so cute that you don't really have to have kids in your home to enjoy. Click on the links with each picture to head to the blogs and get full instructions, printables, recipes, etc!

Fashion a Floral Tassel Garland - meethaha

Who doesn't have some tissue paper laying around - whether it be new, left over from a gift you've given or reused from a gift you received. Get your DIY on with this really pretty floral garland!

Design an Easter Bunny Bunting - Clean & Scentsible

Clean & Scentsible makes this bunny bunting so easy by offering a free printable for the bunny outline. All you have to do is cut out your bunnies and decide what you would like to make their tails out of! If you have some yarn laying around you can try making DIY pom-poms, or you can keep it simple with a simple circle of construction paper or wrapping paper! Even some cotton balls would be cute for this one!

Paint Some Easter Bunny Candy Jars - Happiness is Homemade

While some of you may have a Cricut at home, you really don't have to, to be able to make these cute jars. Any Easter sticker should work and you can dress up those candies for the kids' Easter baskets and have fun doing it!

Get Creative with Egg Decorating - Country Living

The last few years, you may have found yourself too busy to do your own Easter egg decorating. To be honest - sometimes you might just avoid it because of the whole dye mess. But with so many of us staying home, this year we can get back into the tradition. Here's a few unique ways to jazz up your usual decorating routine with some unexpected household items!

Build Your Own Easter Egg Tree - Sincerely Marie Designs

While you're out on a walk, collect some branches and arrange them in a tall vase or drink pitcher. Hold them in place by stuffing the vase with paper if it's opaque. If you only have clear vases/pitchers you can make a criss cross patter across the top of the vase with Scotch tape to make a grid that holds them in place - see here. Dress up your tree with those freshly made Easter eggs and some twine, Easter egg ornaments or even hand drawn eggs from the kids like this tree.

Make Some "Hatching Eggs" - Hungry Happenings

All you need for this one is eggs & carrots! A little detail work is required - but hey! We've got time. If you are feeling extra fancy you can try making the chick with some devilled egg filling for a yummy appetizer - see here (pssst this one comes with a handy video tutorial!).
