Impasto blooms put paint in full flower. The March framed painting layers white and cream flowers over a deep olive green ground, giving the floral subject sculptural presence. Slender stems add a looser, lighter counterpoint to the thick petals. Acrylic on canvas and a solid pine wood frame finish the composition. Floral, but with plenty of paint on its hands.
